Smashing Pumpkins...

and other scenes from fall...




We missed the height of fall color here last year, having spent the month
of November in Texas.  Last week seems to have been the peak, and it was
really spectacular.  Too much so to translate well in a quick snapshot.
A very chilly hay ride at the pumpkin farm two weeks ago.
Just one of a couple attempts to get a "bonfire" going in the
backyard (not much luck yet - everything too wet).

Notice the gnawed up or completely missing feeding windows -
we've already seen a squirrel hanging off of the feeder twice.
It's going to be a long winter!
Not just smashing pumpkins -
throwing them too.
