Whatever Wednesday: Volume 1

In an attempt to get back to more regular blogging, I've decided to post something here every Wednesday, and call it "Whatever Wednesday."

Today's post is a simple recipe I found on the top of the Smucker's Creamy Natural Peanut Butter.  If you like peanut butter with your apples, this is for you.

Apple Peanut Butter Snack

1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 Tbsp apple juice
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
2 Tbsp dry roasted sunflower kernels
Sliced apples

Arrange apple slices on plate.  Mix together first 4 ingredients, drizzle over sliced apples, and sprinkle with sunflower seeds.

I didn't have apple juice, so I used honey, figuring it was just meant to be a sweetener (if your peanut butter has sugar in it, you can probably skip this ingredient altogether).  I also didn't use the sunflower kernels, just because I was dipping the apple slices straight into the spread, instead of plating it up with the sauce drizzled on top, as the recipe calls for.

Gideon liked it so much, he asked to take it to school today in his lunch!

Enjoy!
