to visit my sister and her family in Montana. We're flying - on a discounted United Airlines fare to Missoula, two hours south of their home in Flathead Valley. We're leaving Saturday morning (at 6:18 a.m. - that's the time of the flight, not the time we leave the house) and will be back Tuesday. We're going to keep her and Zane company for a couple of days. I'm looking forward to the break from the endless housecleaning and waiting around here.
The tree at the end of our driveway will probably be completely bare by the time we get back, but the weather will still be deliciously fall, but mild all the same. There are snow showers predicted for our destination on Saturday, however. Gideon will get to break in new sweaters we're weeks away from needing here. I hope the bracing temps will help clear my head, refreshen my attitude, and invigorate my spirit. Maybe it will snow just enough to blanket everything - including my unsettled mind - in a peaceful, quiet white.
Regardless, we're eager to see Rachel, Luke and Zane, even if for only a couple of days.
